ALPHA PHI FOUNDATION
Since 1946, The Alpha Phi Foundation has advanced women’s lives by funding empowering leadership programs, life-changing scholarships and assistance grants, cutting-edge women’s heart health research, and critical heritage preservation. With a primary focus on Women’s Heart Health, the foundation annually awards the Heart-to-Heart Grant to fund research and educational programs aimed at improving women’s heart health. This grant is made possible through the generosity of alumnae, donors, and each Alpha Phi chapter's philanthropy events.
In 1956, Alpha Phi became one of the first women’s fraternities to establish a Foundation. It was created as a trust agreement to award scholarships and promote cardiac aid. Today, the original priorities of the Foundation hold true in our Five Funding Priorities

HEART TO HEART WEEK
Every fall, other Greek organizations compete to be crowned our Heartthrob and Sweetheart in honor of our philanthropy: Women’s Heart Health! During Heart-to-Heart Week, people come together to raise money and spread awareness. The events includes a Hunting for Hearts, Heart-to-Heart Walk, Mac N Phi's, Dodgeball Tournament and concludes with the final event, Heart-to-Heart Showcase.

Hunting for Hearts
Each organization will need to search for Alpha Phis on/around campus throughout the day and collect paper hearts from them.
Mac-N-Phis
Held in Alpha Phi's carport garage, we offer two options: one bowl of mac ‘n cheese for $5, or unlimited bowls for $10.
Dance Showcase
Participating organizations choreograph and perform in a showcase for $10 per ticket. Our Heartthrob and Sweetheart is announced.
Heart to Heart Walk
The walk begins at Alpha Phi and goes through campus and into downtown San Jose. Each house will be making a banner that is judged based on how it best represents women's heart health and your chapter/Alpha Phi.
Dodgeball Tournament
Located at the ISB lawn, a bracket-style dodgeball tournament will be organized for all houses, allowing teams to play in a fun setting. The winners earn points towards their final score for the week.
